CROHIST (Levocetirizine Hydrochloride 5 Mg Tablets)

Salius Pharma announced the launch of a new Anti-allergic medication CROHIST (Levocetirizine hydrochloride 5 mg Tablets) which is used for the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis.
CROHIST (Levocetirizine hydrochloride 5 mg Tablets) contains the active ingredient Levocetirizine hydrochloride 5 mg which belongs to a group of medications called Non-sedative Anti-histamines. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a natural substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. Levocetirizine is more potent at suppressing wheal and flare than other anti-histamines. It is used in the treatment of Seasonal and Perennial Allergic Rhinitis, Chronic Idiopathic urticaria, Rhinitis associated with asthma and acute allergic reactions due to drugs, food and insect bites.
CROHIST is contraindicated in patients those who are hypersensitive to levocetirizine hydrochloride, pregnancy, lactation and patients with renal and hepatic impairment. Drug interactions may happen with Azithromycin, Cimetidine, Theophylline Ritonavir, e.t.c.
CROHIST is rapidly absorped after oral administration. Increased use of Levocetirizine leads to drowsiness in adults and restlessness, agitation e.t.c. in children. It is recommended not to be used in children under 6 years of age.
Recommended dose: One tablet of CROHIST is to be taken once daily in the evening.
