Double-U-Shear Antivibration Mountings

Avmount Double 'U' Shear Mountings are used for the isolation of Shock & Vibration and can be loaded in 3 different axis as shown in the illustration. The mountings should be fixed such that the Bonded Rubber in he Mounting is stressed in SHEAR because it affords the maximum flexibility in directions A and B they are comparatively stiff in the direction C as the bonded rubber is in compression. Stiffness in this direction is a useful characteristic for applications where limitation of movement in one direction is required.
