Syzygium cumini.
Common Names:Marathi-Jambhul, Hindi:Jamun
Source Floral Region: Sahyadri Valley based on South of Maharashtra & Karnataka.
Flowering Season: February-March
Taste: Slightly Bitter.
Color: Yellowish to Dark red.
Specialty of Jambhul Honey: It is a pure organic honey collected from medicinal plants in pollution free forest region. For collection of Jambhul Honey more efforts are required, as it is collected from deep jungles on top of Sahyadri. Small quantity of pollen available at that time affects on population growth of honeybees. Hence, we get less quantity of honey than efforts taken. So it is costlier than other honey collected in agricultural region.
Jambhul honey contains biological substances and enzymes useful for diabetic patients. It is the Rich Nutrient Useful food for diabetic patients supplying micronutrients and enzymes.
