LYPLAS (Tranexamic Acid Tablets 250 / 500mg)
LYPLAS
(Tranexamic acid Tablets) contains the active ingredient Tranexamic acid which is an Antifibrinolytic agent. Tranexamic acid is used to treat or prevent excessive blood loss during surgery and in various other medical conditions. It inhibits the activation of plasminogen to plasmin, which is a molecule responsible for the degradation of fibrin that forms the framework of blood clots. It is available in 250 / 500 mg doses.
LYPLAS (Tranexamic acid Tablets) is also used in the treatment of trauma, cardiac surgery, orthopedic surgery, cranofacial surgery, in dysfunctional uterine bleeding, in dentistry and in obstetrics.
LYPLAS is a safe and a well-tolerated formulation to control hemorrhage and has reduced rates of mortality and urgent surgery in patients with upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage.

Recommended dose
: The recommended standard dose is 2-3 tablets of Tranexamic acid 500mg two to three times daily and one tablet of Tranexamic acid 250 mg two to four times daily.According to the indications, the dose is as follows:

Menorrhagia: 2 tablets of LYPLAS-500 is to be taken 3 times daily for up to 4 days. In case of heavy menstrual bleeding, dosage may be increased not exceeding a total dose of 4 g daily.
Traumatic Hyphaema: 2-3 tablets of LYPLAS-500 is to be taken 3 times daily.
Haemophilia: In the management of dental extractions 2-3 tablets of LYPLAS-500 is to be taken three times daily.
