STROBACT-OZ (Ofloxacin 200mg and Ornidazole 500mg Tablets)

Salius pharma launched a new anti-infective medicationSTROBACT-OZ (Ofloxacin and Ornidazole Tablets). STROBACT-OZ( Ofloxacin and Ornidazole Tablets) contains the active ingredients Ofloxacin 200 mg and Ornidazole 500 mg per tablet where Ofloxacin acts as an Anti-bacterial agent and Ornidazole acts as an Anti-protozoal agent. These are available in both tablet and suspension dosage forms.
STROBACT-OZ (Ofloxacin and Ornidazole Tablets) is used for the treatment of various bacterial infections such as Prophylaxis in gynaecological surgeries, Surgical wound infections, Respiratory tract infections like lung abscess, ENT infections like Chronic sinusitis, diarrhoeas of protozoal orgin, e.t.c. Ofloxacin belongs to the fluoroquinolone group of antibiotics and they act by inhibiting the DNA gyrase enzyme which is necessary for the multiplication and repair of bacterial DNA. Ornidazole is a nitroimidazole group of anti-protozoal agent which attacks the microbial DNA and thus inhibiting its further synthesis and causing degradation of the existing DNA.
Recommended dose: One tablet of STROBACT-OZ to be taken twice daily
